You can also hide some of the features so you dont have to go through them all the time. You can hide memo, alarm, timer, stopwatch and then you dont see them until you unhide them. I got it to replace a men's Ironman watch that wouldn't allow the time to be reset, thus making it right only 6 months (EST) of the year (not good!). I looked at many watches before deciding on this one and it was the right decision. It has a smaller profile than the men's but doesn't sacrifice in size of the numbers or readability, which was important for my 50+ year old eyes. I use the lap feature for my walks/runs as I have with these watches for many years. The frame around the numbers has a pinkish tinge to it which adds a nice 'girlish touch'. And last but not least when time came to change over to EDT, viola, simple as pie.
