I bought this to replace a 14-year old Ironman watch that is still "ticking" but that looks a bit ratty. The watch is fine. But the band (strap) is poor. First the band is too short for a large wrist. It is difficult to get it on so I have to wear it tight.
In only a week, part of the end of the strap started separating. This makes it harder to put the watch on without help. I took a photo. If I can find a way to upload the picture, then you can see the problem.
I've tried to glue the loose ends down with contact cement. Not sure how long the repair will last. But one should not have to repair a watch band after just one week. Fortunately, the band is replaceable if I can find a replacement. And the band is securely attached -- no fragile pins to lose.
Other than the problems mentioned above, I'd give the watch 5 stars especially since its predecessor has lasted so long.

The band totally fell apart within 2 weeks. What a piece of garbage. The watch is great so I guess I just need to replace the band and all will be good I guess. Times needs to fix this piece of garbage band!

OK, I admit it - I'm getting older. Now that I've reached a "certain age" I pretty much have to wear glasses all the time. I needed a waterproof watch that had big numbers. So big that I could see what time it was without my glasses! About the only time I don't wear my glasses is at the gym - that's why the watch needs to be waterproof. This watch fits the bill perfectly. It's a simple watch which I also appreciate. At first I was somewhat upset the band attaches via velcro, but then thought about all the watches with the rubber bands that end up breaking - they are no better. Overall a nice product.
