The battery never runs out, the digital part is accurate, and it looks nice. HOWEVER, within 2 weeks of getting this watch the analog hands failed, and then just today the waterproofing failed in the pool, I was able to un-fog the screen by opening the watch, but the buttons are all unresponsive and the screen is dead. I love that the digital screen can be turned off for a more professional/office look. Also, it is an Ironman, so you know it's great for training. I enjoy that it can be charge on light too. I've really enjoyed this watch so far and I'm hoping that like all the other Ironman watches I've owned, it will last a long time.I'm giving this a 5 though since I can't give a 4.5. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but if I was paying the retail price, I would expect a lot more. It doesn't have some things that my other Ironman watches have had - such as a countdown/count-up timer and the ability to store stopwatch workouts with average and best laps (or a Memo function, but I never really used that anyway). Also, this does seem to be a one piece band, so if it breaks, I likely can't repair that myself. I have to say they are the best for running, swimming and other activities that involve tough use. I once had one that the band broke three times before the battery ran out, so I'm sorry I had to write such a low review for this watch. When I saw a solar powered Ironman with dual functionality I didn't think it twice and got one. The watch felt great to the wrist, very light and easy to read during the night (Indi-Glo rocks!)and the buttons to control are somewhat easy to find while running. However after about 3 hours I noticed that the seconds hand was bouncing back and not moving forward. I clicked a button and the problem got solved. Then about 2 hours later I saw the problem again, fixed it and the next day again, so that's when I decided to return it. The rest of the functionality was fine but overall it looked too sensitive for the kind of use I intended to give.I think I'll try model #T5J641 instead... Read more |
